Would it be un-skeptical of me to assume that this guy failed to complete the proper application for the million dollar prize? Was it a properly done test under controled conditions?

Nah........sounds like a trick that any professional magician could pull off.

Case closed. No million for this dufus.

Gary Fowler claims he has done just that, after successfully predicting Mark Owen would win Celebrity Big Brother, before the line-up of the show was even announced.

He delivered his prediction to The Northern Echo newspaper offices two weeks ago. The newspaper says the envelope containing the prediction was kept in a locked safe in its offices, until the winner was announced.

So he predicted the winner before the line-up was announced and yet delivered it only 2 weeks ago to be locked up? Ummmmmm, so he made his prediction months ago, kept it to himself and then when there were only a few choices left he delivers his prediction at the point whee only a few choices are left giving him good odds. I wonder how many he completely missed on before making this one. Anyone making a guess like that, with so few options, is going to hit it right every once in a while.

But as was pointed out, I doubt he filled out the application and followed procedures because it sounds like a lie to me considering his prediction made months ago was only delivered and sealed 2 weeks ago. Another stupid and dishonest trick.

Who exactly did this guy make the prediction to before two weeks ago? He could have been completely wrong back when he actually made the prediction, but he's claiming that we should all take it on good faith that he actually made this prediction before two weeks ago.

I don't think he made any prediction until 2 weeks ago and is lying. He waited until the selection was simpler and made a right guess, this time, and reported it. There is nothing even slightly interesting here although the credulous might eat it up.

I don't think that Fowler was even serious in his statment. I think he ran his little scam successfully, then was yakking it up for the interview. He'd never get past Randi, and knows it.
