The only problem with my Festivus pole is that it is green, with pointy things sticking out of it, and little miniature "Death Star" and "Enterprise" ornaments hanging off of these pointy things.
Does this still count as a festivus pole? |

It appears that what you have on your hands is actually something commonly refered to as a christmas tree. It would also appear that there is something paradoxally wrong with your house, as I have found it to be common experience that Star Trek, and Star Wars things cannot exist in the same area without producing potentially violent reaction.

Like hell. I still can't get on with my old name! I signed up under a different name, with a different email address. I wonder how long it'll be (since I've admitted it here)! before I get found out and shut out again. Talking with those people is like beating my head against a wall. When I saw your quote (posted above) from that other thread, that's what I thought about what you had said. If you're going to ridicule decades of work, investigation and research by honest people and reduce it to the level of stuff that people make up for fun in the supermarket tabloids, you have to expect that some would take exception. (and I'm not even one of those who you've slandered!)
I was wondering how to make my point to you when I saw that link. I figured it'd be a good way to get my point across without actually insulting people.

Only if they are the right sort of Christian...don't forget that.
There are usually all sorts of nasty things to be said about Catholics, Episcopalians, Mormons and JWs. Then there are the Christians who are only "spoken" Christians, and the nasty "liberal" Christians and the "word/faith" Christians, and etc., etc. |
