*I'll save you another plane ticket. The boat sinks.*

Like the historical Titanic.

And there are these two kids who run around while the boat is sinking.

I think they sing too. Or maybe dance. And there's somthing about an interdimensional monster who lies sleeping in his sunken city, waiting until the stars are right for him to rise again. Yeah. And there is a man who chases the kids around with a gun.

LOL, that's hilarious. R U serious Kil?
You know, they stop advertizing after a plan crash, or so I've heard*. It's funny that they'd choose such a movie to show.
* BTW, best time to buy airline stock, and/or book a flight.

Just finished watching 'The 6th Sense'.
Never knew anything about it, only ever saw those....endlessly stupid commerical 'I see dead people'. I could tell just from that, that Bruce Wills was one of them, dead.
So all I can say is, Bruce Willis makes boring pictures. (but I should admit I only ever saw one other movie he made, also a strange one. Don't remember the name but I think in it, he was seeing things that happen in the future. That movie was like watching a traffic accident)
I wanted to fall asleep but had to see the end (of 6th Sense). Was hoping for maybe a good or different ending. No such luck, it was predictable and prolonged way too much.
Why were they pushing it so much when it 1st came out?
Did anyone see it? Or like it?
Curious,
nlm

Give me 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' in 3D any day.

If you haven't seen "The 6th Sense", don't read mine or Snake's posts!

My last boss was a moron; he let me borrow the DVD and told me to make sure and watch the bonus material first (the Director's commentary, etc.) So what was the first thing we find out? Bruce Willis' character is dead! My wife and I couldn't believe that idiot did that.

Oh well, it was ok.

I enjoyed The 6th Sense even though I guessed the ending after someone told me it was a 'surprise twist'(TM). Maybe I have a soft spot for that director because I also really enjoyed Unbreakable which disappointed almost everyone.

I just saw Panic Room yesterday afternoon. Perfect movie for a late afternoon/early evening/stormy day kinda movie. Love that panic room. Perfect for those nights when you have just that very small bit of paranoia, but don't wish to leave your bedroom....

Went to see Frailty a few weeks back. Judged solely as a work of fiction it was OK. Not great but a decent slasher/suspense type movie. As a skeptic and an atheist, however, I would have to rate it as one of the most fucked up themes of all time. Very scarey in the fact that some people don't see this kind of thing as fiction.

For some insane resaon, I went with my husband to see "The Scorpion King" last week. Lots of hacking and slashing, and some pretty cool stunts. Now, about the plot: there was lots of hacking and slashing, and some pretty cool stunts.
This is in no way thought provoking. Maybe we should have a General Movie review folder.

Was Neuromancer (by Gibson) ever made into a movie? I remember that as being one of the greatest mindbender I'd read. Anyone else know of it?

If I want your opinion, I'll ask you to fill out the necessary forms. Buh-bye.

That was kind of a stupid thing for him to do, unless he was trying to be funny or mean.
But I don't think you missed much by knowing. As I said, I guessed just from the the clip they kept showing even before I started watching the movie. But right from the 1st sceen when there was no dialog between Willis and the mother, and then on and on with his wife, and other people you could tell they didn't see him, it was as if he wasn't part of the reallity. Therefore dead.
Although I did think if was boring, as a regular spooky movie, I suppose one could draw some philosophical meaning in it, but there are so many other greater movies to do that with.

"Neuromancer" is a wonderful book. Some years back they made a movie called "Johnny Mnemonic" (with Keanu Reeves as Johnny, pre-Matrix but post-Speed). It's roughly based on Neuromancer but strays quite a bit in the fundamentals and is not a great movie, though interesting in an academic sense.

I enjoyed "Sixth Sense", I like Bruce Willis, and I didn't figure out the surprise ending. So there.

My kids still love me.

Once again, Snake is displeased.

Would like to know why movies in this case the 'The Bourne Identity' is being promoted without mentioning that it's a remake. I hate when they do that.
But if anyone sees the new version, would you care to give a review? Thanks. I'd really like to know if you think it's worth watching.

But they never ever say that a movie is a remake. At least they didn't change the title as is sometimes the case.

Ack! Can't believe I missed this! I love William Gibson.

Johnny Mnemonic was a short story by William Gibson. It was published in a collection of short stories called "Burning Chrome". Molly Millions appears in both stories (one of my fantasy womens! )

Neuromancer has actually been in the works as a movie for quite a while, but it isn't known whether it will ever appear. They want it to be "perfect", and that seems to be holding everyone back.
