| Typical. They think if they don't talk about it, the kids will remain ignorant of it. Considering the amount of sexual innuendo plastered all over our mass and popular media these days, this is wishful thinking in the extreme. |

It is absolutely dangerous for anybody to be unaware of the dangers involved in sexual promiscuity. Even in marriage, if one lunatic member of the marriage is cheating, both members of that marriage can suffer tragically. The list of STDs is as long as your arm. Possible pregnancy is an additional and tragic problem, if unwanted by either parent-to-be. People who keep their children ignorant can end up real losers in this area.

This is true even where a non-lunatic member of a marriage (or other committed relationship) is cheating. |

Yes, similar to the wishful thinking that, if they tell kids not to have premarital sex, the kids won't have premarital sex. |
