Incorrect. This describes a drawing - each person puts his name (or some other unique identifier) into a box and a single entry is drawn at random. Lotteries, at least in the US, don't work that way. The probability of winning is the probability that one's set of numbers (usuall six or seven) exactly match the numbers picked by the lottery commission. The probability is not affected by the number of entrants. |
