Hi All,

I am getting the same error on both your site and mine on the My Page of My ASP. Anyone know what the fix is?

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8'

Object required: 'rsPM'

/forum/my.asp, line 322

Okay, I found the Bug in the Code. It happens when you Uncheck the Private Messages in the Edit My Config Section. Any Solutions beyond the obvious?

More info required, is this just happeneing locally or is it for other asp pages? It could be IIS settings, could be a missing *.dll file.

First place I'd look is IIS. @tomic would be the man to know though.

Edited to say, check your virtual directory settings?

Editied again to provide the link http://search.support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?Catalog=LCID%3D1033%26CDID%3DEN-US-KB%26PRODLISTSRC%3DON&withinResults=false&QuerySource=gsfxAdvancedSearch_Query&Product=msall&Queryc=Microsoft+VBScript+runtime+error+%27800a01a8%27+&Query=Microsoft+VBScript+runtime+error+%27800a01a8%27+&KeywordType=ALL&maxResults=25&Titles=false&numDays=

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

To try the Bug for yourself, go into your own (My Page) edit and uncheck the Private Messages box. Apply the changes, and go back to your My page.

Now having done this, your probably thinking.. you (explative deleted for wholsesomeness sake) what do I do now!?!?!?

type into the Address Bar
http://www.skepticfriends.org/forum/my_edit_config.asp
and recheck the Private Messages Option.

Thats it. Now, any solutions folks?

I would say, don't hold your Asp too close to your breast. It didn't do much good for Cleopatra either.
