Early this morning I deleted a color scheme from the database. Unfortunately, that color scheme was the default color scheme so a lot of visitors got nothing but a big ugly error message.

I was looking at some stats and noticed the errors but couldn't figure it out. I had selected a completely different(and undeleted) color scheme for my account so I never noticed.

Sorry Folks!

On the bright side, everything is(seems to be)working AOK

@tomic:

It happens to everybody and at almost every site. When I could not enter your site, I tried a few of the others, but decided to go into the other room and read for awhile. I could not find the book I was looking for. It has been one bad night! Nothing works. However, I gave up looking for the book (about astronomy) and came back, and VOILA!!!

You did not screw up. You should have slept longer.

I fully expected a few minutes ago that I would get the same error screen. Whee!

You should plan it this way. I think it is good to have these *events* once in awhile so that the folks who come here can be fully aware of what they are missing when they cannot access Skeptic Friends Network.

Now, plan it well. Decide carefully how you can accomplish the next *event*!

Yeah sleep might help....a bit!

I was just sloppy and tried to rush something. Big mistake!! Usually I can tell right away if something has gone awry, but this time it was something that I wouldn't notice unless I deleted my cookies, which I finally did after I became suspicious

I was screwing up all day at work. Actually, the mistakes were caught by me, but, what a day! You are not the only person who screws up. When I screw up, it wears me out.

Well Sir, all I have to say is that...

There are three kinds of people:

Those that make things happen,
Those that watch things happen,
and
those that wonder what happened.

You @tomic, make things happen!

You'll make me blush

However, today Trish was locked out all day the same way you were, yet I deleted no color themes....

Wow! I thought it was my lousy dial-up modem. We won't get fiber here for at least another year, so I'm used to stuff not being able to load. Things are better with the new computer, but I still have SD summer thunderstorms to deal with. After power and phones came back, I just assumed there was still a problem with a point to point shot somewhere.

If anyone can read this but somehow can't log in email me at atomic@skepticfriends.org and I will repair it pronto. There shouldn't be anymore because when I looked in the database at the time of repair there were 3 others besides myself that had selected color themes when I foolishly deleted them. 3 people have now been fixed up. I am counting on this

Yay!!! I think it's totally fixed. As it turns out if someone were to go and try this wonderful color theme thing, it would result in being unable to log on

I had missed a couple spots in the code that defaulted on the deleted default color theme now replaced by a shiny new Default color theme.

I really think that this will take care of this and all should be well. And if I'm wrong may God strike me dead!

Yes that happened to be me.

Had to wipe the cookies file to get back in.
