I'm perplexed of all writing about killing for something. As Dr Shari is an MD, the Hippocratic Oath sould count for something... I'm surprised that so many of you appear not to consider this.
I don't know if I'm prepared to die for anything. Sacrificing my life is out of the question, I'm going to live forever, or die trying. I am not prepared to give up my life (and this might seem egoistic, but that's the way I am) for anything or anyone unless I'm 100% sure that my sacrifice will be remembered and revered for generations. This is because I believe that I still have important things to do in my life. Things that are important no only to me but to others as well. What this is I do not know yet, but I have this feeling that I am meant to do something more than I have thus far, so I'm sticking around to find out what that is. |

You are right, I like that idea, as I am an egotist myself. I want what I do to live on. But I think by saying I would die for someone, or rather put myself in danger trying to save someone I love is actually saying I couldn't live with the pain of loosing them should they die (and I didn't try as much as I could to save them). And for a long time I've already had thoughts of suicide because of living with the pain of loss. As for the talk about killing, I don't know how that subject started, it's not what Doc 1st asked about. |

I don't know. Does there have to be one? |

Okay. I thought the word meant implied that someone had some purpose for you. Some job for you to do. If you had meant you had your own purpose, I would have thought you would have said that you want to do certain things, rather than you were meant to do certain things.
No matter either way. |
