The spector of being recalled to active duty came up in the humor folder, but I thought this might be a better place for the discussion.
I got my letter.
Big long-assed letter telling me to get my uniforms in shape, purchase new uniforms if need be, gather together any gear I'd managed to leave the military with. Then at the very bottom, it said if I'm on disability, please disregard the entire letter.
Shouldn't this have been the first sentence?

Not to change the subject, unless the subject IS how stupid the government is. But....my pet peeve is that they print voting ballots in several different languages. Excuse me but citizens are supposed to know English and it's a terrible waste of tax money to do that, not to mention all those extra trees for the paper.
To me it's as backwards as wasting your time reading a letter that doesn't concern you.
The government wants to waste our time, just as they waste our money, to keep us occupied so we won't notice what they are doing.
