Just a Head's Up, tonight's Nova is gonna be about Holocaust Deniers. Sad commentary on our society that those idiots have made it bad enough for Nova to have to tackle it...

Good judgement comes from experience: experience comes from bad judgement. |

i don't understand holocost deniers. the german government kept excellent and thorough records of the final solution. the nazis were not embarrassed, they were proud of the operation. they also left a fair number of live witnesses.
i can understand scholars quibbling over details but not denial of well documented evidence.

Almost word for word of what a historian said at the end of the show.
Almost all the evidence they showed in favor of the Holocaust were the Nazi's own documents (and their own testimony at Nuremberg). One of the most horrific parts of the show was when, to counter the accusation that aerial photos of Autzwitz didn't show the huge mounds of coal they supposedly needed to fuel the ovens to cremate half a million bodies, a historian presented a document from the camp officials to Berlin that said they found a way to save coal if they fed the ovens a "well-fed" body once and a while. Human fat kept the ovens hot.
How anybody can still deny this is beyond belief.
As a skeptic, I find it curious that I find myself on the "non-skeptic" side more and more often. Yes, there was a Holocaust. Yes, we landed on the moon. Yes, Relativity is true. Yes, we evolved, etc, etc, etc.
