Uh: I suspect that the proper title of this thread would be "Australia - the 52nd State of America". Since it only takes the Congress to approve admission of a State and since the Congress can (and does) act in secret . . . .
BTW, if the U.S. really did bill Australia for bombs, that would be proof that Australia is not a State.

Canadians are way cool. watching bowling for columbine made me realise just how cool canadians are, and their government and media and stuff too. too all you cool canadians out there, we should aspire to be more like your country, not the shitty US. I believe Australia used to be a good country, untill i started doind assignments on our government and finding sites telling me how they are actually riping us off and turning us into US dickholes. There are about three factors contributing to the shitness of our country. The first factor is the media. As you have probably all realised, the media, or in particular the people who hold the power to say what this media portrays- rupert "richboy" Murdoch and kerry "givemedollar" Packer. These two people alone have the power to influence over 2/3rds of the media in australia including newspapers, TV, radio etc etc. Read "1984" by Goerge "not bush" Orwell and realise what can happen if the media is controlled by very few people. in fact, read 1984 for the hell of it, then look at our modern society and see the similarities. the second factor is our weak-ass government which is full of people from rich, private-school, 'myparentsaremillionarres' families. at least thats the libral party anyway. and as for labour, man, they used to be cool- bring back kimbo! simon crean is a weak piece of rear end material! Our government has to stand up for themselves against the US 'requests', start doing things that won't make their fat asses another fuckin dollar, and stop bullshitting and procrastinating and just fucking do things, good things for a change, and do them proper! The third and most obvious factor is the US. Thouroughly summed up in bowling for columbine, the US are farqed. Perhaps a good line of thought would be for the US to sort out all the shit, inhumane things happening in their own country before they start worrying about the outside world!! I think i've written enough for now, hope you can all understand my rambling but this is how i see things, and i'm only 17! The secret police mustent be doing a good job covering up all their governments fuck ups if i'm thinking like this eyy? John Howard has sold his soul to the devil. We went to war against the wishes of the Australian publc. "75% of us didn't want the war to begin with, but here, as with in America, an increasingly apathetic public will listen to a media totally prepared to tow the party line." |

until such time Peter Garrett and others alike get into the drivers seat of this once great country of ours, and we eliminate brain-dead little “johnny” who can only bow & say “yes sir no sir 3 bags full” to the US, the direction Australia is headed for is DOWN the dunny. As for the media, we shouldn't let them brainwash us, we have to think for ourselves.
Bowling for Columbine should be compulsory viewing
