Anyway, I was pointing out that the term Socialism has so many different meanings that it becomes vague.

Oh, ok. BTW, manys the time I've done something or the computer didn't cooperate and the info got lost but when I can remember I highlite the text and copy (sometimes put it on an email or wordpad, until I'm sure it's put on the site). So IF something happens, there it is.
As for the many meanings of Socialism I think there is/was only one but perhaps it evolved or got 'lost' in the 'translation' as time went on.

Does anyone else see this kind of behavior from the local Libertarian, Green, Reform, Bull-Moose, or whatever parties? Kind of a "local office isn't worth the effort" attitude?

Henry, I don't know! It's been my observation that Libertarians ARE trying and do have people in 'small places'.
I know of many active Libertarians in my area. LOL, in an on line conversation with one I was asked if I wanted to run for some local office. I tried to explain how I'm....hum, how can I say this, eccentric. But he didn't seem to care. Oh well, perhaps some day!
(but if the public didn't like all the 'affiars' Bill had, they sure as hell wouldn't elect me for anything with my background).
Seriously though, I think if you go to the Libertarian website, they used to have a list of all our people in office. (Or maybe I'm thinking of the California party only) Whatever, there are Libertarians around, in office.
