Was the Pentagon correct in showing the “shot to buggery” bodies of these two men?
Have they done so because since WMD and alleged uranium links with Niger, we are now more skeptical about what comes from the mouths of our elected officials?
Personally, in a gruesome kind of way, I feel it is a fitting end for these two terrible men. But the cable networks glee in showing the corpses reminds you of a traitor from "Ye Olde England" being drawn and quartered, the parts of his body taken to the four corners of Britain and his head put on a stake for all to see. A little barbaric. But I suppose they wouldn't show it if the punters didn't want to see it!!!

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

I agree that the photos are quite gruesome. I think the reasons behind releasing them, however, were not inncorrect. With both Osama Bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein having been repeatadly targeted, only to survive, people don't buy vague assurances. However, visual confirmation of the death of someone is very convincing. While barbaric, the visually publication of death photos does give solid credence to the claims of these two men's deaths. |

The photos are sort of sick. But I did have to chuckle (in a psychotic kind of way) when I heard on the news "Qusay and Uday are edda". |
If I knew then what I know now then I would know more now than I know. |
