Well, it's about time someone started telling us the truth about this debacle!

General calls Iraq war a religious struggle

quote:
The man in charge of the search for bin Laden is portraying the war on terrorism as a struggle "by Christianity against Satan".

Finally, an honest Bushpawn! How do they think this is going to go over, over there? Will they say to themselves "Gee, those nice Christians don't like us; I guess we'll just have to lay down and die."

Of course not! They'll say to themselves "We'd better kill them, before they kill us!"

I love the user comment to the photo caption of Rumsfield:

Wasn't that the clown who thought he defeated a somali warlord because his (the general's) god was bigger than his?

Technology has advanced, our standard of life has improved, our life expectancy has increased... and yet so many reject the reasons for why these things are possible, and still turn to religion and superstition. Sad, really.

Yup, same clown.

There seems to be some discussion about re-assigning him, but the Pentagon's not doing it, and won't, I think.

Yeah, they're afraid of alienating their religious voter block.

The emminent general Boykin has consented to an interview:

quote:
ARMY LT. GENERAL WILLIAM BOYKIN'S FORMAL PRESS Q&A TO QUELL FEARS OF MILITARY INSENSITIVITY TO THE SATANIC NON-FAITH OF THE GLOBAL TURBANISTA MENACE
DoD Press Conference
SECRETARY RUMSFELD: Good morning. Today, with President Bush still touring the Oriental nations, I have been asked to help clear up a little misunderstanding which you liberal press yahoos are trying to use to inflict a grievous political wound on this Godly administration. Specifically, your silly-dilly outrage over recent comments about Arabiacs by my Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, General William G. Boykin. But instead of talking about this myself, I thought you boys should hear it straight from the horse's mouth. That's why I am proud to present Lt. General William G. Boykin himself to answer your questions. Take it away, Jerry.

And from The Presidential Prayer Team

As many communities prepare to go to the polls on November 4, pray for godly people to speak up and vote their conscience and values. Pray that all citizens in communities where elections are being held will exercise their responsibility as citizens by voting. Pray also for the states of Kentucky, Mississippi and Louisiana which are holding gubernatorial elections in November.

Pray for the President as he works with world leaders to defeat terrorism wherever it is found. Pray for our troops around the world, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq, that they will be safe and successful in their mission to defeat terrorism. Pray for the family members and loved ones of those who have lost a military member in the fight for freedom.

Pray that freedom to practice religion in America will be maintained. Court cases on the local and federal level, attacks against members of our military who express their faith in public, and accusations against those who refuse to participate in activities they feel violate their faith highlight the need for us not to take our freedoms for granted.

Pray for the President as he welcomes Romanian President Ion Iliescu to Washington on October 28. Romania and the United States are working together closely to bring stability and peace to Afghanistan and Iraq. The President and President Iliescu will discuss the war on terrorism, reconstruction of Iraq, and Transatlantic relations.

and for ADDITIONAL LEADERS TO PRAY FOR THIS WEEK

Attorney General
John Ashcroft

Secretary of Labor
Elaine Chao

White House Chief of Staff
Andrew Card

Director Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms
Bradley A. Buckles

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

I get really cold almost every time I hear the phrase "Pray for ..." or "Join me in prayer for ..." but here is one prayer that I wholeheartedly support. It is NEEDED.

Hmph. Pray in one hand and defecate in the other; see which hand fills up first.
