This article by Ron Rosenbaum on the pledge of allegiance is a good read, so I thought I'd share it with you folks.

I would rather pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America than to a gaudy piece of cloth! The president takes an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, but instead he and his cohorts are doing nothing but trashing it!
