From WorkingForChange, quote: The latest agency to take up the president's faith-based call is the National Park Service. Over the past several months, the NPS has brought Christian displays to our national parks and creationist books to the souvenir shops at the parks. It has also been reported that the NPS was considering removing historical information it found "conservatively incorrect" from historical documents and video presentations.
Considering that some of the quotes in the article appear to be hyperbole, I'd be interested if anyone else knows of a more balanced presentation of what's going on with the Park Service.

Good grief.
What's even more upsetting than crosses in national parks is their desire to remove historical references to things they deem "conservatively incorrect" (example: gay rights protests).
WTF? How dare they? As if America's national treasures belong only to Christian conservatives?
I tried to find more objective information and I couldn't. In fact, the only site I found in 3 google pages that supported this was whitehouse.gov. Duh.
Damn them. |

Talk about desecration of a natural site! Go to a national park to see and buy superstitious religious fairy tales.
