I post from a public library --- about a three mile walk (each way) from my home. I once upon a time posted nearly every day but the Florida summertime is beastly hot and during the Florida wintertime the roads are overrun with idiot Yankies (sic) driving like --- what else? --- a gaggle of idiots. So as time went on, I only checked it (--lurked--) and sometimes posted once a week or so.

(I am a refugee from the BABB where I posted even more than Gordo, Slater, or Snake (R.I.P.) posts/posted here. Once BANNED from the BABB I moved simultaneously here and to the decidedly dumb but very busy and interesting SDMB.)

In more recent times, the heat has gotten ever hotter; the protecting Ozone Layer has gotten ever thinner; and the Yankie (sic) tourist traffic has ever worse and so I now am lucky to get into town once a month.

As usual, I have probably given TMI.

Do thou amend thy face, and I'll amend my life. --Falstaff

I have always thought that somebody ought to read the posts. I have little time to go on the web, and writing without adequate reading of the posts seems to me to be ridiculous. So, I am a part-time lurker, and a part-time poster. Today, a holiday, makes it much easier to write here. Of course, there are a number of states (mostly southern) where yesterday or some other day was the Memorial Day holiday.
