Hi. I've been lurking for awhile, but decided to register today. As my introductory post, I decided to add a touch of humor.
http://users.rcn.com/rostmd/winace/fundies/
This is my collection of hilarious comments by assorted ideological nuts on a variety of message boards.
If you've seen the April edition earlier, you can just wait till the page fully loads and click the "Read update" link to scroll down automatically. Otherwise, it makes fun for an ... interesting read from the very beginning. ;)
Pick out the best! Award nominations (like the "Pot and Kettle Prize" or "Death by Irony Overdose Certificate," but you can invent your own) are welcome. Here's a fun one:
quote: "Bin Laden's Going To Nuke Miami... The NWO [New World Order] will use Bin Laden to Nuke Miami! CIA patsy/pawn Bin Laden will 'punish Miami' for being the home of Digital Angel, implantable micro chips. From what I have found in the codes Laden will use a Russian Nuke to cause a literal holocaust in Miami. In swift retaliation, and an excuse to get rid of Damascus, Bush will Nuke Damascus into a parking lot of rubble fulfilling Isaiah 17. Possible months for the Nuking of Miami are January, March or September [presumably 2004]." - SherryShriner

Welcome to SFN WinAce! And nice site. Very funny. |

Hey there, WinAce. That's quite a collection you've amased. Funny and spooky all at the same time. Amazing to think a large number of those bizarre/delusional people can vote and drive cars. |

Hi WinAce and welcome! I know you well from II.
I hope you enjoy yourself here as much as I like your site and your excellent postings.

Thanks for the welcomes and favorable comments on the site. I like this board already.
By any chance, do any fundies (or other nutters) ever show up here in the other forums? Well, I guess I'll find that out soon enough ;) |

My current personal favorite is the "bondage games lead to human sacrifice" series of posts by jessedance. I personally witnessed that exchange, but it was so ridiculous I think I only tossed out a few one-liners. Toward the end, I suggested he submit that to Jack Chick for inclusion in a new tract. |

"When I was reading all these posts, I remembered something I learned of a christian radio program. Sin causes death, it is the reason things decay and die. So couldn't the reason that the earth seems older than it is be from sin?" - ratioann, TheologyWeb
This is the sort of thing that tempts me to return to TWeb. everybody needs a good chuckle at least several times a day.
Again WinAce, thanks!
Edited to clean up a little of my own speling.

Well, here's a cure for the fundy sites:

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

May issue finally online!
Yet another round of fundamentalist lunacy:
- Laugh!! As they argue Noah used state-of-the-art technology to keep animals alive on the Ark!
- Shudder!! As they assert a Godly man can commit no evil!
- Bang your head against the wall!! As they call Libya a "South African" country!
- Hope they never hear voices... telling them to kill people!! As they admit they'd kill for any strange heretofore-unknown god who asked, just "to get in its good graces"!
- Weep for Humanity!!! When they write that slaves escaping from the South during the Civil War would have been sinning if literate enough to read the Bible!
As always, pick out and nominate the best. Submissions are also welcome, but I would prefer it if you used email ( allan_glenn@hotmail.com ) instead of leaving them in the thread, where I may not get to them for a while. |

Hmmm...
I used to be on Rapture Ready, but got thrown out.
The reason? Well, I offended the moderator by saying I had a nightmare in which I dreamt that the current president of the United States was the anti-christ. She called it "slandering a fellow Christian" and promptly booted me. I could not send a PM to anyone to explain that it wasn't intentional, and the E-mail I sent has been ignored.
I don't know if I would have stayed at RR anyway. Some of those fundies are just too crazy even for me. They made me afraid of the dark with their... eh... not-so-insightsful postings. |

"Equivocation is not just a job, for a creationist it's a way of life..." Dr. Mabuse

This post is so ironic I fell off my chair, stunned. Are you sure Courthead is a Fundie? |

Ah, I think I saw your last RR post... at least, I distinctly felt deja vu as I read what you wrote. As for Courthead, I've debated him extensively on abortion, gay marriage and other issues, so yeah--he's definitely fundified. Although I'm happy to say I no longer post at that particular board. |
