Should we base our conclusions on half-truths and possible behavior or whole truths and known behavior? I opt for the latter.

Damn, where were you when Bush decided to invade Iraq. Half-truths and possible behavior seem to be good enough for the President and the entire GOP. They've lowered the bar so much who can even tell anymore what it takes to base a conclusion.

You're exactly right. All the more reason to think through our positions so that morons like Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter can't pick them apart. Nothing I hate more than giving those wretched souls ammunition.

That said, maybe the question to ask is "Where were the Democrats when Bush 'decided' to invade Iraq?" (I used the quotes because the word "decision" implies a thought process. Since Bush admits that God told him to take out Sadaam, I'm not sure any such process was present.)

The sad fact is they were right behind him, staring dumbly at the same poll numbers. If only they'd paid as much attention to the intelligence reports, which clearly stated the case against Iraq was anything but a "slam dunk."
