Sonamabitch.

Reasons Padilla was incarcerated was probably false, evidence not admissible, Justice (is this sarcasm?) Department case in big trouble.

Bush administration acted on poor intelligence...like that's ever happened. (sarcasm)

Did anyone see Ashcroft give the Senate Judicairy Committee the finger this week? He totally refused to hand over memos that they wrote concerning legality of torture and other such stuff....

Is it just me, or are these guys (the current Bush administration) hiding massive ammounts of info from us?

I understand the need to maintain confidentiality when offering legal advice.... but these guys don't seem to understand one simple fact. The "legal" advice they offer the president directly effects all US citizens.

I get the feeling they are out just to cover their own asses.

The Bush Administration belongs at the Guantanamo prison facility. Not all the other guys being held there, they belong somewhere else.

The thought occurs; Padilla has never been anything more than a cheap thug, if what I've read is accurate. If indeed he walks, as it looks like he just might, he could become a very wealthy, cheap thug. In his shoes, I'd have long been thinking about the lawsuit(s) I'd file.

Cheap thug or not, he has been wrongfully robbed of his guarenteed, Constitutional rights as an American citizen by a pack of thugs even cheaper than himself.

If he does indeed walk, I am so going to enjoy the show as his lawyers try to drag Bush and that Crisco-spattered lunatic, Ashcroft into court, preferably in restraints and dayglo jumpsuits.

So I'm not the only person who read the part of his book where he describes how he annoints himself with oil? hehehe....

I guess there's no longer any mystery as to why the government didn't want this case tried in the courts. From the start the Justice Department portrayed this as a slamdunk but this one little case has been dragging on for a loooong time. I guess there are no real terrorists out there that need court time aso we waste our resources like this so the courts stay warmed up for when the real criminals show up.
