It is the claim of many UFO conspiracy theorists that there are documents from the 1940's that remain classified "above top secret" to this day, and are therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Is this at all possible? If so, what could be a plausible explanation for a document almost 60 years old that would still be considered a threat to natoinal security?

The only thing I can come up with is that there may be documents detailing intelligence protocols from the 1940's that are still in use today. But this seems about as far fetched as any conspiracy theory.

People can claim anything they want to. Just as people can freely ignore unsupported claims.

However, I can 100% guarantee you that there are active government projects dating from the 40's that are highly classified. Nuclear weapons developemnt and testing for an example.

But, do I even need to point out the fallacy in claiming that because there are classified programs operating since the 40's = UFO/Aliens crashed at Roswell is true?

rofl... I just noticed that today's Google Ads are all for alien/ufo sites!

Hrmmm.... where is my tinfoil hat? Need to block those mindreading and control rays!

Or maybe google throws up ads specific to whatever your looking at on the site? Never noticed that before.... nifty.
