Just wondering if anyone has a list of really over-the-top fundie websites. I know of a few, but want to compile a list of 15 or 20 really crazy sites.

I could just ask verlch to email me his favorites folder.....

But....

So, if you have one or two, or a list, please post them up here or PM the list to me.

For starters, how about the Reverend "La-ROY" Jenkins.

During the mid 1970's, I used to watch faith healer Rev. Leroy Jenkins perform his circus act on Sunday mornings television.

The program was so poorly edited, and his showmanship so transparent, it was guaranteed several laughs per half hour show. His program disappeared while did a stint in prison in the early 80's.

As with other scammer faith healers, Jenkins has wormed his slithery way into the internet...

Be sure and read the "Miracle Arm" story. What a riot!!
Surprisingly, some sort of a movie is in the works about his life.

Here's a bit on his 'miracle water'.

The guy's a Elvis wanna-be boob.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. I always enjoy the prayers at http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/

They aren't exactly crazy, but they are good for a laugh....

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Try this page (actually page 1 of 3) for a nice selection of nutballs:

They're not all fundies, but they are definitely a few slices short of a full loaf.

nice.... this dude is seriously mentally damaged. He has a blurry little picture of Kerry taking communion.... and the blurry part is what he's holding to his mouth. You have to look at it and read the description, it's tabloid-on-acid stupid.

Here's a good one:
www.tencommandments.org
They think that all atheists are criminals and should be treated accordingly.

Not only does god play dice, but they are loaded, can change shape and location, and can borrow energy as long as the universe at large fails to notice.

Is that site actually for real? To me it seems like the works of a very... peculiar man. First two interesting (in one way or another) quotes:
quote:
It is God who caused the Columbia disaster and the tragedy should cause america to rethink its murderous intention to wage an unjust war against Iraq.

Foolish americans moaned and shedded tears for the seven people killed in the Columbia disaster, but will they shed tears for the innocent people america will murder in Iraq.

And two disturbing quotes:
quote:
The close quarters of the Columbia space shuttle was not an approriate place for women to share with men.

Was sex in space one of the experiments the columbia crew performed? If so, the ones who were married committed adultery in space and the rest committed formnication and perhaps homosexuality. If that is so then they got what they deserved. Should those who help corrupt and introduce human depravity into space be regarded as heros?
Where did that come from?

Yeah fundamentalists seem obsessed with sex for some reason, and especially other people's... activities. Actually that site is so bizarre I'm thinking that such a character in a fictional story would just barely be believable.

That Ten Commandments site was warped. But you know, it looks pretty defunct--no new registry comments, the articles are old, etc. I'm wondering if the "demon-possessed atheists" in tandem with Satan have attacked him. He says atheists are the true criminals of the world community and even cites murders that are atheists' fault! Gosh, considering the majority of the US considers themselves Christians, doesn't it suffice to say that a lot of God-believers are being "criminals?"

You can't copy from the first page of "Exposing The Atheist." But look here, this loony Robert T. Lee hears from the dead!

quote:
A NOTE FROM SOME LEADING ATHEISTS WHO ARE IN HELL
All atheists are fools (Psalms 10:4;14:1;53:1)------Sign: Karl Marx, Rene Descartes, Nicolo Machiavelli, David Hume, Immanuel Kant, Charles Darwin, Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Thomas Huxley, John Stuard Mill, A.J. Ayer

Truly remarkable, huh? They sent Mr. Lee a note from Hell. Since the site was produced by an ex-atheist, I guess he's got some connections to the underworld.

Seriously though, people like this are scary in that you hear the same wacko ideas from Jerry Falwell on TV, like when he blamed 9/11 on all the homosexuals, pagans, et al. Oh sure, he apologized for it, only after it spread like wildfire. There are too many people who agree with these nuts...it really disturbs me that in this day and age this is so.

Some of the letters are pretty funny too.

I've also found that if you ever want quack sites, just do a google on "Quantum." They are addicted to that word.
