Not that the Daily Show is exactly a font of scientific wisdom, but here is their take on Dr. Baugh.

Great spoof! Baugh continues to be a joke.

The sad part is that the blind will follow the insane even though this in on something called 'Comedy Central'. In the funny papers is where he belongs.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that his PhD comes from a diploma mill even less reputable than Hovinds.

Fun to catch a little of his act, though.

I dunno about diploma mill, but all his science degrees sure look phony:
Thus, all of Baugh's alleged science degrees seem to trace circuitously back to Baugh himself and his partner Wilson--through their own unaccredited religious schools and/or branches of them.

I love the daily show!

And Baugh is a serious loon....

There should be some law that prevents people from misrepresenting themselves the way some of these quacks do.

Ignorance is preferable to error; and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing, than he who believes what is wrong.

"There should be some law that prevents people from misrepresenting themselves the way some of these quacks do."

When it physically hurts people (like in medicine), thats where the law comes in (sometimes).

"I love the daily show!"

Haha, that makes two of us. Did you see the one 2 wednesdays ago? The one on delaying the election, how all the democratic states would become a protective barrier and block the terrorists while all the republican states can vote. I think that was my all time favorite episode, glad I got it on tape.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Carl's web site, complete with his 'doctoral dissertation': http://www.creationism.org/cem/

The last time I stumbled across his TBN program he spent the entire show shilling for some friend of his selling 'clustered water' or some such thing. It had absolutely nothing to do with 'Creation in the 21st Century' (should be titled 'Creation in the 15th Century').
