Basics: Breakaway province of Moldova refused to change ways after the collapse of the USSR, has huge stockpiles of Soviet weapons including 'suitcase nukes and dirty bombs' some of which are missing. Weapons sales were and still may be a primary income source for the leaders. Ara has been a thorn in the sides of Moldova/Russia since the collapse.
