Another one bites the dust.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

That's great!!! Evolution and all its attempts to say alive??? I think we need another 5 trillion years to make it work!!!! lol...

What came first the chicken or the egg?

How do plants exist without bugs in the soil, and bugs in the soil without plants producing oxygen?

There are no atheists in foxholes

Underlying the evolutionary theory is not just the classic "stuff" of science — conclusions arrived at through prolonged observation and experimentation. Evolution is first an atheistic, materialistic world view. In other words, the primary reason for its acceptance has little to do with the evidence for or against it. Evolution is accepted because men are atheists by faith and thus interpret the evidence to cor-respond to their naturalistic philosophy.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. II Timothy 4:3,4

send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

You can not see the 'wind', but you can see its effect!!!!

Evolution was caused by genetic mistakes at each stage?

We have not seen such moral darkness since the dark ages, coencides with

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, EPH 6:12.

The only thing that is great is that you are now in the company of a bunch of deluded Europeans, who also want to revert to the dark middle-ages.

If science is false, why do you keep using tools and gadgets invented thanks to science?

And here I was, thinking that Europe was somehow free from this "controversy". Why do people keep doing this?

American Creationists going to Europe for vacation.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Haha, neither rhetoric nor legislation will change fact. It is their and your loss.

I do hope that they and you are comfortable in the wonderful land of myth.

This would follow suit...Kent Hovind, Dr. Dino, could be hired on as Minister of Science.

Ah, Davey me son, ignorance is indeed bliss. But on the other hand, true knowledge is Nirvana. O'course, the devil lurks in the definition, does he not?

I find it sad that so many otherwise intellegent folk fail to think critically. Ah well.

On the other hand, the cornered rat fights the hardest, yes? Could it be that the rats sense the corner?

I have a lot of Serbian friends and in a way it doesn't surprise me. After the fall of the Ottomans, Serbians were more religious than ever. The 10 year war allowed fundamentalism still to exist, and very strong (do to the corruptions during and after the war, a lot of people looked towards God). My friends are die hard orthodox and they'll be damned if their view changes. They except science and engineering but to a degree where they can use it in a practical manner to enhance their own lives (by earning money, etc.). I must also say Serbs are really good at scienced. But, on the theoretical side a lot of Serbs still keep their religious foundations.

With all the occupation and a torn country from wars, a lot of Serbs are left nothing but to hate. This is not their fault, but just a confusion from all the struggle. My friends still hate gay people, so much so that they speak of killing them, but I know they also think killing is wrong. Also, they still hate Turks for the Ottoman occupation. As a Muslim myself, people have hate towards me for being Muslim...but I try to reason it with them. Even if some of my friends do hate Muslims or the religion, somehow they justify that I'm still their friend. If only I can help them realise that Turks and Muslims aren't like the war-monger portrayal that a lot of people think it's like.

The evolution matter will be fixed with time, once Serbia has gained a foot hold in their economy and while they struggle to join the EU. Once this matter is done, I think the country and its people will be more modernized. On another note, I did speak to my friends about evolution and they believe in creationism. Though they are aware of the science, they still choose to cram it to the back of their heads. I've had a lot of heated debates trying to bring a foothold to evolution, but it doesn't work at all. It's funny, I'm a scientific person who has fundamentalist friends. Go figure.

In the Netherlands Christians form a very small minority. However, this makes them all the more fundamentalistic and zealous. Creationism is a main tenet amongst christians here. There just aren't too many of them, so they are largely ignored.

I love the Netherlands!

And it's good to see that all sense of reason isn't lost in Serbia.

Looks like the rest of the administration put the clamps on the religious education minister. When are the Bible literalists going to get over it? Keep your beliefs if you want, but don't try to prove them with ignorance of science. It just isn't gonna happen. Maybe in lost pockets of the world but not in the mainstream.

Listen Doc,

Like I stated so nicely before, evoltution is still a theory. It never will be a fact. It is based on assumptions and therefore should be regarded with second glances.

What came first the chicken or the egg?

How do plants exist without bugs in the soil, and bugs in the soil without plants producing oxygen?
