The Rude Pundit, relevent as ever:

quote:
Revenge of the Not-So-Fortunate-Sons:

Here's what we in America ought to hate: ungrateful motherfuckers. George Bush is one ungrateful motherfucker. Here he is, our goddamned President, who every time he has stumbled in his life, every time he has faced adversity or failure, has had a goose down pillow waiting for his ass when he hit the ground. What's so frustrating about the whole Air National Guard debacle is not that he weaseled out of his commitment. It's that he's not grateful for every break he's ever gotten. We who hate Bush hate him because he acts as if his stupid-ass luck of being born into one of the most powerful families in the world entitles him to be a complete motherfucker.

Yeah filthy,

I got the idea from an incident that happen to my cousin who was wounded in Vietnam.
It wasn't a permanently disabling wound but it did require stateside treatment.
That was back in the days when the Army treated it's wounded, I've heard that some of the Iraqi wounded have been sent back and told to go see their family doctor.
Anyway, my cousin was so close to discharge that he was mustered out from the hospital, which was fine with him.
But about a year later he got a letter saying he had failed to complete his time in service.
He ended up in what he called a casual unit for 3-4 weeks, which I guess was basically a bunch of guys waiting to be discharged for whatever reason.
He latter found out that some lieutenant he'd pissed off in Nam came across his records and turned it in as a way to screw him, my cousin that is.
The funny thing is that my cousin was out of work at the time and decided to re-up while he was in there.
He ended up being a 20 year man and finally retired in 87'.

the rude pundit rocks!
