Some more illumaniti hand gesturing!
What's hilarious about this is how fully half the hand gestures are clearly the "I love you" thing and NOT the Texas/"Satanic" one-- even though the loony website claims otherwise. Another significant portion of the photos are simply of various speakers inadvertantly makeing the gesture when seen from a certain angle.
What a fucking joke-- verlch you're a bona fide rube to buy into this shit! |

Underlying the evolutionary theory is not just the classic "stuff" of science — conclusions arrived at through prolonged observation and experimentation. Evolution is first an atheistic, materialistic world view. In other words, the primary reason for its acceptance has little to do with the evidence for or against it. Evolution is accepted because men are atheists by faith and thus interpret the evidence to cor-respond to their naturalistic philosophy.

Anti-Christian? I don't think there are many of that sort here. I'm certainly not. There are plenty of anti-ignorance types here including myself, though.
Speaking for myself, I'm perfectly willing to let the Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists, Wiccans, Satanists, Polytheists, Monotheists, Animists, Jedi-ists, Confusionists, and all of the rest of the ists and all of their various sects do their thing as long as they don't try to drag me into it. And as long as they can refrain from lying and oppressing people, a tough requirement for some of them.
Hell V, sometimes they're amusing, like that Dobson jerkoff. Dobson and his empty-headed cohorts couldn't learn from Falwell's Tele Tubby blunder that made him an international laughingstock, and has set forth in pursuit of Sponge Bob and some other cartoons for promoting tolorance. They cherry-picked the tolorance and deciced they (and Falwell) didn't like the part about not beating up the queers.
So, with spincters clamped tighter than a paranoid oyster, they sally forth with the courage of the mighty hyena to savage a few children's cartoons, and provide the rest of us with hilarity every time they blither out a statment.
I mean really, not even the Three Stooges could come up with better slapstick. Give them some pies to throw, and why not, and they'd make their fortunes in Hollywood.

You're insane. Let's look at the list they provide one by one (the link is this:
1) President Bush, perhaps at innaguration. He's the former governor of Texas, so it's entirely likely that he's flash the UT symbol to friends in the state who might have gone to school there.
2) President Bush and his wife, perhaps at an innagural ball. Again, they're obviously looking directly at some people-- very likely associated with the university.
3) A Dio album cover. Yes, the little Dio demon appears to be giving the symbol.
4) "[A]n apparent Satanic ritual." Right, but this could just as well have been from a movie where the actors are giving a stereotypical gesture and is not a convincing piece of evidence of anything.
5) King Abdullah and Vladimir Putin. The angle makes it hard to see what's going on, but Abdullah's thumb is no in the right place. No "satanic" gesture.
6-8) The Bush family. Again, the Texas link is fairly strong. Especially since Jenna WENT TO THE SCHOOL.
9) Prince William. Thumb's in the wrong place. Not "familiar Satanic signal."
10) Clinton-Bush-Liz Taylor-Berlusconi-Bush (again)-Paul McCartney. Fully three of the six (Clinton, Taylor, and McCartney) have the thumb in the wrong place and thus aren't giving the symbol. The two Bush photos are easily explainable-- indeed, in one he's at a graduation ceremony. The only one that "fits" is Berlusconi.
11) Tommy Franks. The gesture fits.
12) (One member of) Metallica. The gesture fits, though it's so stereotypical of hard rock bands that it isn't particularly compelling.
13) Dan Quayle. It fits, though given his connection to the Bsh family, there is a logical explanation for it.
14) Berlusconi (again). It fits. However-- I should not here that in Italy, that gesture is often used to ward of bad luck, used much like we might say "God forbid," so not convincing.
15) Anton Lavey. Duh.
16) Crude picture of demon. Nope.
17) Amy Grant. It's there.
18) Drawing of John Lenon. It's the gesture.
19) Spider Man. He's doing it, though anyone familiar with the comic book knows that he uses the middle and ring fingers to trigger his web-- not very good evidence of Spidey's Satanic nature...
20) Stuart Little. Not even close-- these guys are as inattentive to detail as you Verlch!
21) John Edwards. Clearly, he's not doing it. Rather, his hand is in motion and the angle of the camera gives the appearance of it.
22) Tom Ridge. He's doing it, though it looks inadvertant.
23) Yassir Arafat. Clearly his hand is in motion; he's not actually doing the gesture.
24) "One of The Council On Foreign Relations symbols." Whatever.
So that's it-- 24 "examples" most of which are either gimmicky (e.g. the photos of rock bands or people trying to look Satanic as an act), inadvertant (take enough pictures of a person public speaking and you're bound to find all sorts of hand gestures), or blatent lies (they make a point to tell you that the thumb has to be in, and yet many of the phots have the thumb out.)
So there you go, Velrch. While I don't expect you to come clean on this, I hope that you're happy knowing that you beleive in yet more lies and distortions!

Pat Robertson doing some tigers paw gesturing...
http://www.grandlodgeoftexas.org/lions-paw.php
I'm just gobsmacked.
The articles take a small fact (satanism has co-opted a hand sign to mean the devil from a sign meaning the horned god.) and then applies it to events to where the sign isn't even present. (Stewart Little poster shows the mouse giving the "Hang Loose" surfer sign, not the horned God symbol. Liz Taylor and several others are flashing the "I Love You" sign from American Sign Language.)
And, my God, Pat fucking Robertson is holding his lapel and all of a sudden it's some kind of "Lion's Paw" symbol.
Nice to have ya back, verlch. Haven't giggled this hard in a while. The premise is crap, as usual, but entertaining.

That's an I luv you in sign language. Rockers do the same thing on stage!

Seen this one. It as well as the one with Jenna is when the UT band passes the reviewing stand.

I'm actually familiar with this movie. It was produced by a fundamentalist evangelical Christian movement to show how they percieved neo-pagans and how to "combat" them.

I think you're both right. The symbol is commonly used both to ward off bad luck, and to represent the horns of a cuckhold. |

Well, when Ms Cuneiformist says certain things-- especially when she's talking with other Italians-- she'll do the "hook 'em horns" thing that Verlch thinks is Satanic/Illuminati-related with one hand meaning, more or less, "God/heaven forbid" or some such. I haven't had a chance to ask about the faithfulness thing... |
