I made some changes in the code for SFN relating to connections to the database that should(read:praying) speed things up and increase stability.
Could anyone comment on this?
One big change was removing set strConn = Nothing from the code. I think it has helped a lot.
The rest of the changes involved reducing the number of open database connections from about 6 to 1 and carefully closing all recordset and setting them to nothing at the optimum time.
I figured this was a good project before adding anything else.

OK. My comment is, I don't know what the Hell you are talking about. And, I think everything(the Internet and the world)is moving too fast as it is. I wish I had my 3.1 Windows back. I liked playing the games on it and Paintbrush was fun to use. But, I'm sure you are doing a fine job, even if I can't understand or see it.

@tomic, it seems to be running a little faster. Don't know if it's your new code, or the fact that it's after 2200. As 'net usage drops, everything usually zips along a bit faster. Lisa

Just this: "praying"? How ironic!

@, to tell you the truth, I never really notice things like that. I paid attention just now, I assume you mean when we go to a new page, and yes it did seem to click on a tincy bit faster. But I have to say, that's one reason I don't watch the evening news is because when they flash a name of someone who's on screen, they do it SO FAST, one hardly has time to read it before the take it off, I get frustrated and stop paying attention. So I don't care if something is fast. Well, only the idiot driver in front of me when the light turns green.
