Well I'll be damned, but in this photo it surely does look like Bush has something attached to his back.

http://www.electoral-vote2.com/images/bulge.jpg

Mind you, I'm still not buying the wire & earpiece scenario yet, but I'm a bit more receptive to argument.

If indeed he was using outside help, whoever came up with the idea should be fired for being an idiot. Bush has enough trouble thinking without some half-witted toady blithering in his ear.

But I am wondering; if it should turn out to be true, what would the legal repercussions be, if any?

Legal? probably none.

If it could be proven that he cheated in a debate, in violation of the rules he agreed upon, his poll numbers would prob drop 10 points, and Rove would keel over dead.... and then rise again as the undead creature he was born to become, figure a way to spin the situation so it made Kerry and the democrats look bad, and get the Supreme Court to declare W president for life.

It's gotta be the tendrils of the mind-control parasite, because everyone ignorant enough to rig a hidden earpiece with wire that freakin' thick is still in 2nd grade.

I'm serious. Go look at some typical non-surreptitious headphone wire today. It's pretty damn small. The thing running up Bush's back looks like a three-conductor outdoor-rated extension cord for house current.

It's HUGE.

Let me clarify this by saying that I believe Bush & company to be largely incompentent, but this class of mistake would suggest that they need minute-to-minute help to remain breathing.

My bet is that that bulge is evidence of an aide's incompetence in finding a shirt that would fit.

Lets not rule this out as possible evidence that he is indeed a shape-shifting lizard...

Didn't Randi bust a faith healer using a similar set-up by simply finding and recording the frequency of the ear piece using a short-wave radio scanner? I think it would be hilarious if someone could actually record whomever is speaking into Georgie's ear.

If he is indeed cheating, which I don't believe. The photo looks like a wrinkled suit coat and a bad shadow to me. It's often very difficult to distinguish details of a shadowed three-dimensional topography in a grainy, two-dimensional photograph, i.e. the Face on Mars.

I was just showing this photo to my girlfriends and the thought struck me immediately: Doesn't the CIA have something better than that even for temp spies? Who the hell would be planning this operation? Fletch? Maxwell Smart? That freaking thing is big enough to have vacuum tubes and the much needed water cooling system. I think it's a trick of the light off the clothes and the power of suggestion from the Kerry spin-meisters.

Dang, man... how many you got? I considered myself lucky to have one at a time.

Oh, this is a bit off-topic, ain't it?

Most likely a bulletproof vest.
I'm sure he wears one.

Indeed. Considering the commercial cartridges available, not to mention 'wildcat' loads, 'bullet-proof' is a joke.

I don't know what the apparent lump is; don't about the wire. Could be, I suppose. As to it's (maybe) bulk, well, this administration has managed to fuck everything else up, why not that?

In this debate coming up (Wed. 9:00 EST, as if anyone needs a reminder), I suspect that there will be almose as many camera's on Happysack's back as his front. Surround vidio, eh?

What mainly puts me off on the wire speculation is that Bush confuses so easily that an outside feed might render him completly incoherent instead of only pretty much incoherent. Surely his handlers are smarter than that. Aren't they?

I think that this next gab-fest is going to be the best one yet; so good indeed, that they ought to make it an annual event.

It will be interesting to see the third face of Bush.

Oh psh. That's just his device to communicate with the outer-space shape-shifting lizard aliens of d00m.

The most amazing is, news of his possible cheat have managed to travel all the way down to godforsaken Brazil. Nice isn't it?
