Uh, holy shit. According to today's New York Times, we're soon going to be fucked. The article reads in part:

Just to clarify-- a load of huge explosives which were supposed to be guarded by coalition forces are missing. We're learning now that "White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion last year." Great.
But while they don't know where the explosive went, they have a good idea about what they could be used for:

American weapons experts say their immediate concern is that the explosives could be used in major bombing attacks against American or Iraqi forces: the explosives, mainly HMX and RDX, could produce bombs strong enough to shatter airplanes or tear apart buildings.
Wow. How utterly disaterous! The post-war planning obviously wasn't very good They obviously did no post-war planning.
Why aren't heads rolling on this? Why the fuck is Rumsfeld still running the Defense Department? Why is Bush still a viable candidate in this election?
