How long will it be, I wonder, before we start reading about Oetzi's ghost wreaking vengence upon the mummy's discoverers and researchers.
quote: Iceman's discoverer dead in Alps Oetzi's discoverer went missing while hiking in the mountains Helmut Simon, the German who discovered an intact Bronze Age mummy in an Alps glacier, has been found dead in the Austrian Alps. A hunter found his remains in a stream just as rescuers were planning to suspend their search eight days after he went missing while on a hike.
The body of the 67-year-old was found on a peak called Gaiskarkogel, near a resort town south of Salzburg, Austria.

Yes, these coincidences seem to get peoples imaginations running wild. The added bonus will be that he was found by a hunter - ötzi had a piece of an arrow lodged somewhere in him I seem to remember. Wat is the chance of all that happening just by pure coincidence? Makes me think of the similarities between the assasinations of Lincoln and JFK. There has got to be something in all of this. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.................
If he had been found in 5000 years, then at least this sad piece of news could be described as ironic. |
