Checking out the Skeptic Summaries, which are cool, thanks, DAVE. Anyway, I ran across this movie? Anyone seen it? "What the Bleep do We Know?" Sounds like something with some interesting science?

I saw it with a friend a couple months ago.
I thought it would be more science-oriented than it was. I liked the message that we can control our lives (as someone who is prone to self-pity, it's a good reminder for me.)
It got too spiritual for me by the last third, though.
When we were walking home, my friend said to me, "Did you know that fat blonde woman was JZ Knight, aka Ramtha?" The movie then dropped ten points in my estimation...I just thought she was an airy-fairy fat blonde woman. Turns out she was an airy-fairy fat blonde con artist. |

Just saw this movie this weekend with my wife. Can't do a better job of reviewing than the review at skepdic.com referenced above. Marlee Matlin is still a babe. Unless you're interested in understanding the crap that your New Agey friends are into, don't bother seeing it.

| You won't be disappointed. It's fully of shiny crap. People like me whose education didn't go much beyond tying my shoes will have no basis to refute anything. These people speak with much authority, and some of them, such as Hagelin, seem to be experts in their field. |
