Dialing In For Democracy - Now Is Critical
http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0103-32.htm
by Thom Hartmann Published on Monday, January 3, 2005 by CommonDreams.org
Jeff Taylor is one of Vermont's three electors - representatives elected by the citizens of Vermont to vote for President of the United States. He and his two peers have joined the electors of several other states in signing resolutions asking their state's congressional delegation to protest the Ohio slate of electors.
"If they can have fair elections in Kiev," Taylor told me, "why not in Cleveland?"

And I learned, tonight, not to delete members who have made posts, ever. Doing so (at Doomar's request) has changed Doomar_ into n/a. Ugh. |

The Last Man To Concede
http://207.44.245.159/article7652.htm
By Sheila Samples
01/11/05 "ICH" -- On November 3, just hours after Democratic vice-presidential hopeful John Edwards made a national announcement that he and John Kerry were not going to concede until all the votes were counted, Kerry grabbed the spotlight and conceded -- before all the votes were counted. Kerry took the money and ran. Seems he couldn't stick around because he andthe missus were spending Christmas at a holiday extravaganza in Sun Valley as personal guests of California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who just weeks before had fired up the Republican Convention at Madison Square Garden by declaring that "America is safer with George W. Bush as president."

Did voters really count in U.S. election?
Steve Freeman Thursday, January 6, 2005
In three national elections over the past 13 months, the official count was sharply at odds with an independent national exit poll. As in the former Soviet republics of Georgia and Ukraine, U.S. exit polls projected a clear victory for the challenger. John Kerry was projected to win the national popular vote by a 2 percent to 3 percent margin and was ahead in nearly every closely contested state. Of course, the official counts, as in the other nations, showed an almost mirror image victory for the incumbent party candidate.
This is an excellant, concise article. Please read it! |

The problem lies in with our media.
The big names are running scared now after the "Rather Incedent". Nobody hears the smaller names speaking. FOX remains the media arm of the republican party, and they will never air anything concerning election fraud (except to point out the facist liberals who are complaining about it). Some of the formerly neutral channels (MSNBC, for example) seem to be adding more "conservative" content. Whatever sells and gets ratings will be aired, screw the truth or reporting of facts.
And no politician is willing to touch this shit, even with somebody else's 10foot pole. So no investigations will be forthcomming. I'll reference you to the House democrats rolling over and refusing to even call for serious investigation into the Ohio stuff.
