When adding an avatar, there is this originial message:

quote:
If no any problem, it should be assigned for you after 2 or 3 days. Any question, please report to Admin, Thanks.

And this confirmation message:

quote:
If no any problem, we'll assign this Avatar for you as soon. Thanks for your participate, have a good day!

Just wanted to let you know.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

What wrong with it that? I don't perceivitate any error.

Seriously, thanks for the report, but our webmaster is of the opinion that the entire avatar system here needs to be overhauled. With luck, such typos will get caught during the rewrite.

If no any problem? That doesn't sound horriby wrong to you? How about, "If there are no problems."

Could it be leftovers from the translation of the original Snitz's foreign language to English?

Ricky, the word 'seriously' should have been a clue that what I'd written prior to that point was a joke. Specifically:
quote:
What [missing verb] wrong with it that? I don't perceivitate any error.
And I'm satisfied that dictionary.com reports "No entry found for perceivitate." You had me worried that it actually was a word.

I thought Bush outlawed dictionarities.

Wow.... just.... wow.

I totally breezed over your post and didn't notice a single one of these. Damn... seriously... that is kind of scary.

I guess my mind just filled in the blanks which you left out or changed words around to make it sound right.

Actually, that is a really cool effect, I've noticed it before, such as:

The brown fox jumps over the
the red fence.

Or something like that. If you read it aloud the first time, most people don't read the 2nd the. I'm guessing the same thing happened to me, just at a much, much, much, much, much, much greater extent.

You breezed over one of my posts?!? Then revel in your humiliation, Ricky, and be glad I am not doing something nasty, like an Admin Mind Trick.

What's even more interesting is what the language centers of the brain can fill in, and what they cannot. For example, you can probably identify someone's name with all the vowels dropped out:
WLF BLTZR
But with only the vowels (of someone else's name), you're hosed:
OA UE

Also, you can recognize words even if the order of the inside characters are the same but in random order. For example:

You souhld be albe to raed tihs stnetecne frilay esay eevn tohguh it is all msesed up.

Edit:

And what is an Adam mind trick?

It's Admin Mind Trick. Don't you know that Web forum administrators have Jedi-like powers?
