A guest on the Don Imus show (Imus in the Morning) has suggested we let Saddam Hussein run for election in Iraq while America picks up and leaves. Your thoughts?

Mark 10:27 (NKJV) 27But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

I honestly don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if the fucker was re-elected.

Sounds like he wants to put everything back as it was, tra-la, tra-la. At this point, not possible.

Keep Saddam / let hin go, I don't think it would make much difference. Iraq it too far down the tubes no matter who gets to be prez. Their recovery will be long and ardious. And indeed, if some of the writers on the war are correct, we're holding him illegaly, anyway.

A much more interesting question is when and by whom, and for what crimes he will be tried. It is my understanding that the Iraqis are going to do it (someday). If they do, and he is aquitted, what then?

Wait, whatever happened to that trail that Saddam was in? Man... I really need to start paying attention to real news instead of only Jon Stewart.

How can we claim a democracy if we don't allow certain people to run if we don't like them?

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Is this on the top of the least likely senerio list or is it just me? I mean everything they claim to have fought for would be moot... that said no way he wins without fraud, which hes great at.

Are you talking about Saddam Hussein or George Bush in the last election?
