The wounded guy they shot with the Apache's cannon was going to do... what exactly? You're a sick little fuck if you think that was ok. The guy was wounded, probably seriously, and they blasted him to pieces with a cannon that can defeat the armor of most TANKS.
I've been in the military, served some time during the first gulf war. As my recolection goes, it's a violation of the Geneva convention to shoot at a human target with a weapon of that destructive capacity, for any reason. You can destroy vehicles (occupied or not, due to the capacity of vehicles to carry larger weapons) with those, but aiming them at people is a war crime.
The US has changed, apparently, how we interpret the rules. I have seen the C-131 gunships and Appaches used agianst human targets many times since 9/11.
Shooting the wounded guy with that weapon is over the top however.
Dude, this is not a new use of weaponry. The C-131's were used extensively in Vietnam against troop concentrations as well. |

In that war they were just a long-range airborn machinegun...
With the sights and optics we now have (as you can see from that video) they are a long-range precision weapon. They were intended to destroy enemy equipment, but have been put into use as sniper platforms and used against human targets.
Personally, I don't really have much of a problem with it.(in situations where the use of military force is acually justified, I'm for more of a overwhelming force strategy) It was using it against the wounded guy.... The truck he was under was in flames and blasted to shreds. If he was uninjured he'd have been hauling ass for the nearest ditch. Instead, he was rolling away, and stopped moving after he got a little ways away from the flaming vehicle.
And verlch cheers the killing of a wounded man, but says he'd never personally pull the trigger on anyone. Typical inconsistent and incomprehensible gibberish that we have come to expect from him.

Your trying to make me look bad cause I don't believe in your little transformins fishes or the super fish that transformed into a flying bat and into an elephant! If anyone of your pals had shown that video you would be kissing his toes cause he's an alley.

Well that was almost coherent. V, have you ever seen it outside of a video? Trust me, it ain't nothin' like paintball. It ain't nothin' like the movies.
My problem with all this is that this is an immoral conflict that didn't need to happen. Even if Saddam actually had WMDs, which he did not, it still didn't need to happen. It is simply a war of conquest perpretrated by our mendacious government and supported by the ignorant and uninformed.
I don't have much of a problem with the actions of that gun crew. they did what soldiers do: crush all resistance if possible. Might the last Iraqi have had an RPG handy? I don't know and they didn't either.
There is no glory in this incident. If you think that there is I suggest you wrap your ass in cammies and sign up. Our military becomes more short-handed every day due to the insane policies of this administration, so they'd probably even take my crippled carcass if I were to turn up at the recruiting office.
More to the point, how close is your son to draft age?

No, no verlch. Canada and France are places I dearly love, having spent a fair amount of time in both, but I am an American. Currently a dissenting American. I served my country in uniform for many years and I will continue to serve. But that service does not mean I have to mindlessly support that despicable, little pig-fucker in the White House. Quite the contrary.
I think it was Bobby Kennedy, correct me if I'm wrong, that said something to the effect that often dissent is the highest form of patriotism.
