Looks like they are being honest. They have a blurb about it being a hoax. Good for them.

He follows up with this "shocker":As president of Bibleland Studios I want the Evolutionists to know that you have been heard; I've read your objections. You are tired of our lame overuse of the usual “dust on the moon” arguments to explain a Young Earth model. You have asked, no screamed for better proof than that. You want hard evidence? Read on.
Bibleland Studios has an announcement. Commencement of a worldwide hunt for artifacts substantiating the Biblical account of creation begins today. In the next few days we will be rolling out a plan to find our “missing links.” As we search out REAL artifacts substantiating creationism, my challenge to the Evolutionists is to continue to hunt for your “missing link(s)”. Let's show who is right once and for all. I ask you, will finding a 500-foot 5,000-year-old ship atop a mountain do it? How about a real dinosaur swallowing a human fossil? What about a 4000-year-old 12-foot human skeleton with a calculator in his hand? Let's get to work. I will need everyone's help. In the next 2 weeks, two programs will be introduced. Stay tuned for more details and may the best “truth” win. So, the hoax photos appear to have been nothing but a preamble to a "new" version of the tired "why don't you prove evolution?" rant. I mean, if he's assuming that "missing links" would somehow "show" evolution to be correct (as if there aren't ten gazillion pieces of evidence which, together, don't already do that - or that the "hunt" for evolutionary evidence has ever stopped), then he's really got no clue as to what evolutionary scientists are busy doing.
I'm guessing here, but I'm sure that one of the "programs" will be for the creationists, and the other for "evolutionists." I suppose we'll have to wait to find out how pathetic the suggested "program" is going to be.
This whole tactic is also lame and overused. Apparently, the guy hasn't heard all of the scientists' objections. |

OK, I'd like to see that, but how would it prove divine creation? It might just be the common ancestor to Manute Bol and Mssrs Hewlett and/or Packard. |

R.Wreck, he's just confusing disproof of evolutionary theory (which a 4000-year-old giant human with a calculator would do) with proof of creation. Same old false-dichotomy creationist drivel. |

I'm not sure, but they are pointing out past errors of YEC's. As far as I'm concerned, this is the most honest thing a YEC has ever done. All the more to them.
Hoo-boy! That'll burn a river of ink!
Agree on the honesty part, though. If nothing else, it's refreshing.

A 500 foot ship that by it's design and construction could not have been seaworthy, on a mountain top? Yeah buddy! Find and confirm that bad boy and a whole lot of people will be doing some re-thinking!
I've read that the trip up the north face of Ararat might be back on for this year. Good deal. The Turks can use the tourist trade.
As for so-called 'missing links,' there are none. There are only fossils that have not yet been found, and evolution has predicted what they'll be when they are. The ToE has a pretty good track record in this area, even with the odd suprise that shows up now and again.

Not that they are very likely to ever find such a thing, but for the sake of discussion, would the 4000 year old 12 foot human with a calculator necessarily disprove evolution? I don't have the expertise in this area to know, but it seems that the height could either be an aberration (if only a single instance) or he/she could have been part of a particularly tall group, one that evolved to that height because it was advantageous and then due to environmental changes died off. The calculator alone would be puzzling, but I would expect to find evidence of the technology that allowed them to build a calculator along with the tall human. So postulating that such a creature is actually found, would that disprove evolution or just add a little more to our knowledge? |

I've never seen a YEC who did, or if they did they had no intent on honestly presenting evolution. The intentional logical fallacy is their preferred "evidence" for YEC and against evolution. Ignorant people are swayed more easily by fallacy than by honest argumentation.

No, it wouldn't "disprove" anything.
In order for them to win on this line of reasoning, they would have to prove that EVERY hominid fossil older than the alledged timeframe of their flood was a 12 foot tall giant.
As the fossil record clearly indicates, there are hominid fossils millions of years old, and non yet discovered is 12 feet tall. In fact, the exact opposite. The older (in general) the hominid fossils are, the smaller they are.

Actually, R.Wreck, you and Dude are correct on that one. I blame it on having been 2AM when I posted that crap.
At worst, a 12' human with a calculator 4,000 years ago would provide evidence for those who believe that evolution created everything but humans, who were dropped on this planet by ETs about 6,000 years ago. Specifically, two humans were dropped off. Guess what their names allegedly were... |

I've seen that one, I forget where. It gave me a chuckle.
