Seriously, though, Australia and Canada are both countries that I, in general, admire, particularly their military. Not large, but unit for unit as effective as any in the world. Canada's navy was especially superb until about a decade ago when budget problems took hold.

I think that if we are going to be fighting terrorist states, and sending our men, we should declare war. If we are at war then we should admit it. Make it real. I served in the Air Force and I think it would be a morale booster for the troops to know that they are at war, and not just fighting. Vietnam is an example of this. We were fighting and losing men for years, but no one wanted to call it a war. I just think we should call it what it is. We are at war.
