There's no shortage of scientific knowledge in India. You would think that someone at India Daily could have talked to an astronomer before printing this codswallop:
quote:
The lining up of Sun, Earth, Moon, Venus and Jupiter is dangerous. And this has caused some to belief that earthquakes can havoc the earth. As a matter of fact India has seen many earthquakes in last few months.
For the skinny on planetary "alignments" and their effects on the Earth, check out Bad Astonomy's planetary alignment page.
I couldn't access the slide show, and it's pointless to try to examine a thumbnail-sized image for signs of fakery, so all I can say about the pics is that I rather liked the one on the article page.

ROFLMAO. They're fakes. Or, if they aren't, they're very unimpressive. I can do that in a snap of fingers. |

I was wondering when the woo-woos would sign the tsunami guest book. They're running a littl late, this time, though.
India is no suprise. While they have excellent science, they also have more than their share of superstitions.
Neat pics, though -- I almosr recognize the third one; could be wrong, but I seem to remember it from some article, or other.

On a related note: I recently discovered i have in my possesion a unique UFO photo. When scanning in some pictures of our former family dog for my little sister i ran into an obvious alien spacecraft.
Admittedly this doesn't look like much, but upon closer inspection it quickly becomes obvious that hideous monstrosities lurk behind the windows in this craft from beyond the stars.
This is quite obvious in the zoom of this picture.
If you squint a little you can almost make out the tiny human figurines strapped to examination tables inside. We ourselves only nearly escaped capture and likely vivisection as i distinctly recall severall unusual red bults over my body during the specific vacation this picture was taken on.
To make matters even more intruiging: The stealth technology of this craft is so advanced it didn't even show up on the original photo. It was only after scanning that it appeared at all.
Amazing or what? Let's see you skeptics explain this! |
Miss Tick sniffed. 'You could say this piece of advice is pricesless', she said. 'Are you listening?' 'Yes' said Tiffany. 'Good now...If you trust in yourself.." 'Yes..?' '..and believe in your dreams...' 'yes?' '...and follow your star..' Miss Tick went on. 'Yes?' 'You'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy. Goodbye.' |

Most of these photos have nothing to do with the tsunami even if we pretend it to be a possibility. I recognised several of them from UFO books I used to read when I was younger... |
