I just found this on TV. Its interesting, but I'm not sure what I think about it.

The concept: they asked geologist to predict plate movements over several million years. They give the data to climatologist to predict climate. they give this to biologist, who try and predict (personally, I think 'randomly guess' is more accurate) how animals will have evolved.

Its presented as tough it were a documentary. Similar to Walking With Dinosaurs.

I think a 'making of' documentary would have been more interesting.

Looks like a fun movie to me. Even though the animals shown will most likely never exist, the idea that evolution happens and will continue to happen can be educational. What animal will evolve to fill what particular niche in the future? The main thing they will try to convey (if the show has any merit) is that animals will evolve and the niches will be filled.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Oooh, is that the same thing as that show in Discovery Channel?
Edit: yep, it is. I've seen some of those shows, they're awesomely creative. I loved it; too bad, I think it's not showing anymore.

It's a re-run. I saw it. It was OK but not much new science.
