Well that is true, but they sometimes leave clues in the parts that do fossilize (IOW the cranium), so v's claim is false. So there is some evidence in the fossil record for eye evolution.

Well I did say, "not often", so I wouldn't have to discuss the few exceptions. The point was the record isn't complete for obvious reasons rather than offering evidence of the negative. |
