From the Telegraph
quote: Mr Ham is particularly proud of a planned reconstruction of the interior of Noah's Ark. "You will hear the water lapping, feel the Ark rocking and perhaps even hear people outside screaming," he said.
Looks like President Bush's re-election really did soup those people up:
quote: The museum's opening will reinforce the burgeoning creationist movement and evangelical Christianity in the US, which gained further strength with the re-election of President Bush in November.
quote: "Since President Bush's re-election we have been getting more membership applications than we can handle,'' said Mr Ham, who expects not just the devout, but also the curious, to flock through the turnstiles. "The evolutionary elite will be getting a wake-up call."
And hopefully when people who actually know science, like those from Talk Origins or NAG visit the museum and point out the flaws in AIG stuff there, the AIG goons will get a wake up call of their own." [Moved to the Creation/Evolution folder - Dave W.]

Wakeup call; HAH!
I wonder if they'll also provide some sembilence of the stench that would have prevailed under such conditions.
Ham is the head of the American branch of Answers in Genesis, an organization that does no science beyond finding ways to distort the work of others to suit their philosophy.
Believe it or not, they bitch and whine about news coverage even more than we do. But they never pass up a chance to get their tripe into secular media. F'example: quote:
Telegraphing the wrong message by Ken Ham, president, AiG–USA
February 5, 2005
As the world's largest apologetics organization, Answers in Genesis is frequently interviewed by secular reporters. In fact, there has been an international reporting frenzy as a result of a recent federal court case on how evolution and alternative theories should be taught in public schools. Even though we had nothing to do with the case, the media have been calling us.
We often grimace when we see the secular media's final reports. While some just report the facts and manage to get it right, most either come with an agenda that is overtly biased against Christians (See Jonathan Sarfati's article, Time and Newsweek blatantly attack Christian doctrine) or they just don't understand what we believe.
Recently an article appeared in the Sunday Telegraph, “In the beginning … Adam walked with dinosaurs,” that was probably one of the worst pieces of journalism we've seen in a while. This reporter either didn't hear what we were saying or had an agenda. The art |
