No.
Even if I was the first to suggest that some of l's tripe should be removed I don't think we should reward him in this way. He does not deserve this attention and I think he would regard it as a victory. (Of course, I'm not the one that have to delete his rubbish.)
Stop feeding him instead...

No. He is unworthy of any sort of distinction nor even further attention. Give him one of his threads to rave in, close everything else, and let him simmer in his own, septic bile.

No, he should be ignored. Perhaps someday he will post something of substance, compelling, causing meaningful discussion.

Who else? Sorry 'bout the spelling, but it didn't seem worth editing.
At this late date, I rather doubt he'll come up with much of interest, but whaddahell, I've been wrong before.

God, you guys are tolerant! quote: Consider what Latinijral is going to do after he is banned from here. Do you think he will just stop? No, he will go through it all over again on another Skeptic board. Do you really want to put others through what we have had to go through?
How ironic Latinurinal is our 'cross to bear'.

Dependes upon your definiton of 'tolerent.' Is being kicked out any more severe a penalty than suffering the contempt of coventry? Methinks not...

Honestly, I don't know why people have responded to latinjral at such length here. I usually don't understand what he is trying to say, even when he attempts to clarify.
No point in beating my head against the wall--the wall doesn't feel anything but I sure do get a headache.

And the many times he has violated the Registration Agreement isn't reason enough?
Besides, even if we don't ban him but bore him to leave, he will still most likely go somewhere else and complain about how badly we have treated him. Banning him is damage control at this point, why let him stay when he should have been banned long ago? The reason for staying our hand this far is that he does not deserve it, but somewhere the line has to be drawn. We are creating dangerous precedence by letting him stay.
And no matter how annoyed you are at him, please do refrain from calling him things like Latinurinal. For at lease two reasons: It's uncivil, and we shouldn't lower ourselves to that. We should strive for the moral high ground. Second, it will only feed his sense of persecution, and give him ammo when he leaves us for greener pasture to accuse us for being ill-mannered pseudo skeptics. |

One way or another, he will leave us in due course, and he will take with him all of his misguided vitriol to spread eleswhere. And there, the membership will quickly see him for what he is. I'm not worried about it. Let him squawk, if he must.
Agree with Doc that derogatory twists on his handle show no class.
Me, I've responded my last to him unless he finally comes up with a topic that is of interest to someone other than himself.
I would not ban him unless he began disrupting discussions created by others.

As I mentioned to Dave_W at the end of last Wednesday's chat, I think the SFN as a whole has gone above and beyond the call of duty for being cordial, polite and courteous.
The recent strict moderation of latin's posts and locking of threads is a proportional response. If further control is necessary then decide if banning is the next step. |

The only strict moderation has been the closing of threads wich latinijral has started (for stated reasons), and the moderation my thread where I explicitly requested tight moderation. In the other threads, the closing have been because the usual reason for closing long threads: they are getting too long, or they are getting long without anything accomplished.
Dave have noted that he has locked many of his own threads for "standard moderation" reasons many times more than any of latinijral's threads. |

No need to jump over the bridge for this. Take it easy, it will all be resolved eventually (and rather soon too I expect), and for the best I trust. My previous post should hint to which position I'm taking when the staff is discussing the matter, if you've missed my posts in the other threads.
This board is not a democracy, so while the staff may be interested in the opinions of SFN-members, we will work out the decisions as we see fit for the better of SFN. But we do serve at the pleasure of the owner/founder @tomic, and the co-founder Kil.
