Well, "Taoism" may only be recorded as 3000 years old or so, but there is a so called great pre Taoism way of Tao cultivation, and the knowledge did not come from no where. So it could have been a remnant of prehistoric culture, but it could also been formed by a founder( eg, Lao Tzu), but the founders knowledge then would have to have come from somewhere else with that kind of knowledge.

HUH?!?

The knowledge did not come from no where (Tao)? So Lao Tzu could not have thought it up? Why does the knowledge have to come from some 'earlier age'. Do you think people do not have original ideas?

You are making assertion after assertion with absolutely no evidence. Your links are not evidence they are a series of explanations of qi which presupposes that it exists.

I don't get this belief that if an idea is ancient and it's chinese it must be right. Lets not forget that some rich men drink tiger penis soup to make them more viril, based on ancient chinese medicine. That soup is one of the most expensive placebos in the world (as well as quite hard on the tigers (no pun intended -really)).

If I knew then what I know now then I would know more now than I know.
