Alright already! I hate to be a wet blanket (no I don't; it's my best riff), but before we can sensibly go any farther with this, we must first establish the existance of Atlantis. If this land did not exist and was merely a story written by Plato, and exagerated over the centuries, all of the rest is moot. I myself, go with the moot, as there has been no verifiable, archeological or geological evidence presented in it's favor, and that's not for a lack of looking for it.
Here's a little on it: quote:

• Plato says the Atlanteans built a ditch that was 100 feet deep, 600 feet wide and an unbelievable 11,000 miles long. Nothing even a fraction as large has been found.
• There are no known forces of nature that could destroy so large a land mass. True, parts of continents rise and fall, but the process takes millions of years. A comet or asteroid could destroy a large area, but no evidence has ever been found of all the other civilizations that Plato said traded with Atlantis .

| I know what he means about Fa-rectification being very important, though. I do it all the time when I play F out of tune on my bass. I would add that Do- Re- Mi- Sol- La- and Ti-rectification are important, too. |

Lemuria alledgedly was in the Pacific and seems to be a concurrent invention to Atlantis. Both lands were alledgedly destroyed by sinking in some sort of ancient cataclysm. In some relations of the tale, Atlanteans were originally Lemurians.
The half animal/half man bits were from both mythologies. None have any sort of scientific basis.
This is, however, the first I have heard of a Lemurian/Atlantean war. The mythological tales I heard of the destruction of Atlantis centered around crystal majickal work which had an accident subducting en-masse the whole of Atlantis. Lemuria suffered some sort of volcanism which subducted the whole of that land.
