And John Stear records their wisdom. quote: I have not posted these comments simply to denigrate those with opposing views. However, the poor spelling and grammar in many of the messages seems indicative of grass roots fundamentalists (creationists) and reinforces the fears of scientific educators that to allow creationism in our schools is to endanger the future education of our children.
You go ahead and PROVED ID with RHETORIC and EVASIONS so PRAISE THE LORD and my ANUS is LEAKING [This is a classic! f]
Instead of REMOVING CREATIONISM FROM SCIENCE CLASSROOMS IT WOULD BE BETTER TO EVOLUTIONIST "MONKEYS" FIRST!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHICH MONKEY IS MAINTAINING THIS SITE
John:
Just a quick note to say I viewed your web site. You sir are a fool! That is God's words and I believe Him not you. To even begin to think otherwise is to forsake the God given intelegence bestowed on you. The sad part sir is that your knowledge has lead you to think you are wise but has blinded you. Someday sir your knee will bow to the Lord of the universe and you will recall all the times you forsook the truth. Repent! sir before it is too late!
I think that you should go back to the bible. Were it say from God that He made the heavens and the earth, in SIX days and called it very good on the 7Th day He rested.
God did not need to take millions of years. If you want to believe that you came from an ape well more fool you. If you want to believe that it took millions and millions of year. I have just one question. WERE YOU THERE? Answer NO! But let me tell you that God was there He made it happen and that is the truth that the earth is not more than 10,000 years old. You cannot have death and distruction, before the creation of the world. God called it good and that does not apply to death and distruction.
Also you use the words, like might maybe likely, well are you not one hundred percet sure how it happened? And you expect us to believe in your web site? No thank you I want 100 percent correctness in my life. Had too much evolution rammed down my throat when I was in high school. But praise be to God that when I commited my life to Christ, one Kind Doctor gave me a subscription to Answeres in Genisis magazine. were I do not hear the words maybe might likely. But I read the tuth, that is in the bible. That God made me in His image, He made you in His image. The same Christ that died for my sins also died for your sins why not give your life to Him, and see for yourself that what you write is error a lie from Satan.
So please do not tell me that my past relitives swung from trees. I am no ape. Look at it this way it is a well know fact that a bannan has 50% of our DNA, does that make us relativies to bannas? I do not think so.
So wake to yourself. People are looking for absaults in their lives not mabys likely and might.
And remember Dawin on his death bed asked to see and read the bible. And on his death bed recanted the evolution myth that he stated. He was sorry that it had gotten that far.
Sir you are a monkey and a fool for following after the father of lies.
And so forth...

Man, I find sites like that absolutely disturbing, because try as I might I can not fathom how that many people can be so utterly stupid and misguided. How? How in this day and age can that type of thinking persist? It's beyond ignorance. More that half of the posts complain of having had evolution "crammed down their throats," so despite the apparent fact of never having understood it, they have been exposed to it.

Just being curious, how similar is our DNA to a banana? Anyone know?
Edit:
This site says 60%
The Tree of Life website has a very detailed lineage tree. Plants are on our branch so 60% sounds about right, unless it is higher. |

Things That Baffle Me About Fundies #3,562:
Evolution--specificially, the idea that we evolved from monkeys-- offends their vanity. Apparently the whole "God created us in his glorious image and we are special and better than the animals" idea makes them feel good about themselves. If we evolved, then our special place in the universe is in jeopardy.
Another example of how masturbatory fundamental faith is. |

The irony is that they'd rather be made of dirt than of a respectable animal. |

I never knew so many folks thought this way until a few years ago when I started to read sites like here. Sure, I worked with a few people who had said some strange stuff about "Young Earth" creation, but I had no idea the depth and length of their delusions. I certainly wasn't exposed to this within my group of friends & family.
So I was quite intrigued when I started to read more about them, and read the stuff they wrote themselves. Now I wonder, these folks I worked with, are they the ones I'm reading in these posts on the internet? Do they tone it up online 'cause we're faceless cyberchatters, or do they tone it down in real life 'cause that's too personal?
