Geezz, not this crap again... This claim is almost becoming common the way it keeps cropping up.

Ok, here is the scientific test for you. Lean forward. oh and watch your toes.

Having skin that's a little bit sticky, leaning slightly back is all you need to do this. Or even stand up straight depending on what you stick where, like a spoon on your nose.

I never thought the story was proof that people have "magnetic powers", I was just surprised that it even made it to the NEWS section of this online news source. I am not familar with "The Star" but they don't look like your everyday "Weekly World News" site.

But I have had people claim that there are documented studies of people with electric/magnetic abnormalities that allowed them to perform similar feats. Had a couple people claim that when they were young they couldn't wear a watch because it would always stop working because they produced some sort of electrical interference.

I have just never heard of any magnetic and/or electrical phenomenon in humans that has been empirically tested or deunked. Has anyone?

Oh sure, the lab at Tanjung Rambutan does these tests all the time.
You see if you live under power lines while talking on your cell phone AND have magnetic inserts in your Dr Scholl's, flat wear will stick to you every time you sit down to lunch.

If you hold your cell phone upside down you can use the diametrically opposed mono-pole magnets to bend the spoons that are stuck to your nose.

Or it could be that the grandfather and grand son in the photo were victims of a bazaar Crazy Glue accident. Never leave that stuff in a parked car that's been left in the sun.

This is the first time that I've seen "The Star" and no one's asked me if I wanted paper or plastic.

Well that's handy--if these studies were documented then there should be no trouble producing the documents.

The watches of children stop and that's supposed to mean they have animal magnetism?
Children aren't usually entrusted with fine watches because they are incapable of caring for them.Cheap watches have a habit of stopping.
Do you think that the workers at hydro-electric plants have to depend on sun dials and hour glasses to know what time their coffee breaks are? Do you think that Boulder dam might put out more magnetic waves than say a ten year old?
