IMPORTANT NOTE!

The SERVER is not adjusted for daylight-savings, so currently, server-time should read the same as Pacific Time.

This means that I am uncertain at this moment if Derek will show up at 15:00 or 16:00 Pacific Time. I will be there though, and so will most likely the rest of the regular Sunday Chatters.

Color me confused, Mab. The timestamp on your post was 12:13, meaning chat starts at 13:00, Server Time. Skepticality isn't showing up until 16:00, Server Time, according to the OP, or three hours into chat.

No matter what, they're not planning on showing up unti 7 PM, Eastern Standard Time, or 4 PM, Pacific. That is, indeed, 16:00 Server Time, too, so chat's starting an hour early.

Too much celebrating, Mab?

Obviously... I'm stressed out, and I even missed the Formula-1 race, but I'm taping the re-run of it so I'll see it after the chat.
I had a Red Bull, and eventually my brain will align itself. I'm editing my opening post to reflect it.

Yes, it was very good. Excellent crowd.

I mostly just rode along -- I type (and think) so slowly that I could scarcly keep up.

Doc & everyone else, the snake was Feae's Viper from the cloud forests of China. The rattlesnake, the Timber, mentioned is the one featured in my profile. What with that and the chores I was also doing, I got a little confused and lost track.

We're gonna have to do another like that one.

Sunday Chat summary:

Chat started out slow at the usual time for Sundays, Dr. Mabuse's younger brother PhoenixPaw paid a visit. We saw pictures of Mab and PhoenixPaw, as well as other chatters.
Also: a hilarious site.

At 7pm Easter Time, Skepticality Show hosts Derek and Swoopy arrived.

Discussions with our guests:
Debunking "clap-trap" including including jokes on the etymology.
Short computer talk AMD - Intel
Rob from Circlemakers (check out Skepticality Show #7) drops by.
Kilbonics

Chat moderator Dr. Mabuse records 11 active users logged on at the same time: that's almost twice the previous record for a Sunday Chat.
Tips for the Skepticality Show (moderator forgot what the tips were though)
Signs - the movie, and other movies; Fond memories of Muppets and Sesame Street.

What started off the Skepticality Show, among other things: Badly reported or researched shows with people like Art Bell.

Crop Circles, an advertising opportunity? Potential customers: Audi...
Bachardi already has one.

New age fairs, various snake-oil things including Miracle Thaw from "slick" salesmen.

Kil invited to appear on Skepticality Show.

Cleaning out snake cages (filthy is once again under cover using a Latin snake designation, this time: Feae's Viper) and shaving dogs. (incidentally, the link to the nice picture of the viper belongs to an acquaintance of filthy)

Goth and "The Intrepid Fox", Dr. Mabuse made a tourist's mistake: stepped into The Intrepid Fox, then left just as quickly.
Nasty rest-rooms, and urinal inventions to reduce nastiness.

The Chat closed slightly after 9pm Eastern Time.
Many thanks to our special guests, Derek and Swoopy!
I hope you drop by again!

I believe I counted 12 at one point.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Don't forget, Ricky, that Mab was logged into chat twice the whole time.
