Thanks for being there! You two were great. And really, you will not have to drag me. Well, maybe a little… |

Thanks for the compliments!
We will definately be back on again. We have some really good interviews coming up. We have to find a way to squeeze in a REGULAR show!
We'd love to hear some topic ideas from folks here. I have a ton, but I'd' love to hear what other folks might be interested in. :) |

If you haven't already covered it, my choice would be Creationism and Intelligent Design.
Far more pernicious than your standard woo-woo stuff, imo.

We haven't done it... yet. We are working on it. I say 'working on it' because it will be a set of shows most likely. I want to have several guests to comment on the different aspects of why Evolution is such an 'accepted' theory in science. We will be having a palentologist, astronomer, etc, etc, present the theory and why it makes sense from all the different angles of science. Additionally, we wanted to make sure to cover the 'true' definition of 'scientific theory' as opposed to the crappy 'It's just a theory' watered down concept that ID/Creationfreaks try to fob on folks.
Also, we are trying to get a fairly respected Catholic Priest to discuss the 'true' stance of the big-church. So folks can hear the stuff right from the source, rather than the screaming wierdos in southern town-halls.
I couldn't really justify covering that topic in 'one' show, so we might have... 'Creationism' week.

Sorry I missed the chat! But, typically, work prevents me from being able to do much else on Sundays.

Yeah, but aren't these the majority of religious people in the US now?

You might want to get some mainstream protestant ministers as well. Catholicism is not highly respected by many US Christians. |

It all sounds excellent. And somewhere you need to fit in, at least in the case of ID, that there *is no theory!* There is nothing to test. No proposed designer. No proposed process. No timeframe within which the designer would have to have acted. No possible way even to test for non-design. There is no theory of Intelligent Design, a fact that bears repeating until it sinks in. ID is scientifically vacuous. It is merely Creationism with all religious references expunged (and thus, devoid of any explanatory power).

And the best part... they use the fact that Evolution IS a theory as some form of reason to say that it is 'weak'.
I've always loved that whole illogical mess.
We just got done with an interview with the editor of Free Inquiry, was a really fun interview. I love talking to Secular folks, they really get rolling. |
