Thomas Moore law center.

Now, I'm pro-life myself, but aren't those Nuremburg characters the ones who had "wanted posters" of abortion providers along with personal information?

quote:
The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor Michigan, represents several pro-life advocates who were hit with a $120 million jury verdict in 1999. The case against the defendants was primarily based on their use of "wanted" posters specifically naming abortion providers.
It seems that they've left out the part about them also putting in personal information on those posters. Didn't some doctors get killed because of those?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Hey Ig. I believe there were also some issues with the fact that violence against abortion doctors was advocated, not just occurred at random. Yes, doctors were killed based on some of the information provided by these individuals.

The site, as far as I know, combined three things: advocating a whatever-it-takes attitude about stopping abortion, with empahsis on violence; providing personal and identifying info about doctors and staff; and marking-off the info of doctors who'd been killed, like they were completed items in a to-do list.

I also recall the group threatening, a while back, to install cameras aimed at entrances of abortion clinics so they could broadcast the faces of patients on the internet [though, at this point, nothing seems to have come of it]

Not only were some of the doctors killed, but some clinics were firebombed as well.

Now that you mention it, wasn't there something about them posting the information on one woman who did have an abortion. They were able to get the info from the hospital where she was transported because of complications. I seem to recall that one of these twits ripped the sheet from off the gurney as she was transported by EMTs and snapped pics of her too. This happened maybe two years ago. I think they posted her name, address, phone, the names and ages of her children, and the reason for the abortion.

IIRC, this is one of primary reasons for HIPPA.
